Merlin was a singleton puppy who did it all.  He was  a most eye catching show dog, with glorious coat, strong athletic body and a handsome head. who attained multiple group placements and who finished his championship in Canada in two weekends as a Junior Puppy, owner breeder handled.  His ability to herd was evident from the start.  When I took him with me to check out a pasture when he was a bout nine weeks, he began ...

Jack is a Merlin's grandson who has inherited his grandpa’s herding talents and his athleticism.  Jack finished quickly, also in two weekends with a 4th in group placement.  He is a very bright, very centered dog who is gloriously built-wonderful front and shoulders- gorgeous rear with a lovely long flat pelvis and a very, clean, long head and a sweet eye and expression.  He has the harsh double coat that has allowed him to be hosed off at the end of a muddy ...

Tahoe
Ch.Tallywood Quantum Leap, TT, CGC, HCT, Bred by Nancy Anstruther
(Ch.Gambit’sTraceaway, HIC, TT x Ch.Tallywood’s Wavelength, HIC)
Tahoe’s name, I understand, came from the TV programme of some years ago, but for me, his name Quantum Leap always meant the biological term. He was a large jump forward in genetic qualities. I saw Tahoe on a video of a Canadian National show when he was very young. That night, I couldn’t sleep. This dog had totally captured my imagination!  He was glorious!  He had length of head, fabulous coat of correct texture, he had a beautiful front and rear...a ...
Duster
Ch.Duster of Trelane, CD
(Eng,Ch.Bririch Gold Emblem x Ch.Sovereign Moonmaiden, CDX)
Duster is another of the pivotal dogs who is included here at this time with a jump back of several generations. This website will include the “missing generations” but Duster might be of interest currently due to his unique breeding.
Moonmaiden’s owners, the Gregoruks of Thunder Bay, approached me to use one of my Ladypark based males with their girl. They had had a bitch from me who had been kicked by one of their Quarter horses, broken a tooth and died under anesthetic during its removal. I sent them to ...
Donnie
Ch.HMS Lineal, CD
(By Lineal of Ladypark (Eng.Imp) x Loomis Hill Beulah Bell) whelped 1960
Donnie was an extraordinary Collie of the very best British breeding primarily. He was both of Ladypark and Bellhaven background, pre and post war bloodlines. He excelled in type, head, body and coat. He was a fabulous Collie and was admired by fanciers on both side of the ocean and was proof positive that “a good Collie is where you find it” as they say.
I was fortunate to be offered this dog when he was 7 years old and he was both an education ...
